1-Year Data Science Program

1-Year Data Science Program at Dermolife Academy

Program

Participants in the one-year “Data Science” program must be over 16 years of age, have completed compulsory education, and have basic computer literacy and the ability to use standard computer applications.

The program prepares students with the technical and practical skills needed to collect, process, analyze, visualize, and interpret data using Python and modern data science tools.

Throughout the program, students learn to work with key Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn, perform exploratory data analysis, identify patterns and trends, and develop Machine Learning models using tools such as scikit-learn. They are also introduced to Big Data technologies, including PySpark and Dask, and learn how to integrate data science models into applications through APIs using Flask or FastAPI.

The program also focuses on responsible data handling, including data privacy, security, ethical practices, and professional reporting, enabling students to transform complex datasets into useful insights that can support decision-making.

After successfully completing the program, graduates can pursue opportunities as Data Analysts, Junior Data Science Professionals, Data-driven Solutions Developers, and related roles across industries such as finance, healthcare, information technology, marketing, and business.

With further education and professional experience, they can progress toward specialized careers such as Data Engineer, AI Developer, Advanced Data Analyst, or Data Visualization Specialist. The skills acquired can also support freelance work, remote opportunities, or the development of independent data-related services.

Course Modules

The one-year study program includes the following modules:

  • Introduction to Data Science & Data Analytics
  • SQL & Relational Database
  • Python for Data Science
  • Data Cleaning, Preprocessing & Exploratory Data Analysis
  • Statistics for Data Science
  • Machine Learning Fundamentals
  • Final Data Science Project

Assessment & Certification

Participants are assessed by the course instructors throughout the program against the Learning Outcomes defined for each course module.

Participants who successfully complete the required learning outcomes are eligible to sit the Final Theoretical and Practical Examination.

Upon successfully passing the final theoretical and practical examination, participants receive the corresponding Certificate of Completion, which is internationally recognized and enables them to pursue employment opportunities in the field.

Employment & Salary

The Data Science program prepares participants for entry-level and junior positions in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, and data-driven business functions.

Potential career opportunities include:

  • Data Analyst
  • Junior Data Science Professionals
  • Business Intelligence Analyst
  • Data-driven Solutions Developers

For participants entering the field for the first time, Data Analyst and Reporting Analyst positions can provide a practical entry point into the data sector. With additional professional experience and advanced technical specialization, participants can progress toward roles such as Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, Business Intelligence Developer, or Data Engineer.

Indicative Salary Levels

  • Entry-level: €500–€800/month
  • With professional experience: €800–€1300+ /month
  • Freelance & Remote: Earnings may vary depending on the project, client, specialization, technical skills, and professional experience.

Salary levels and employment opportunities depend on several factors, including technical and analytical skills, professional experience, portfolio quality, proficiency in data tools and programming languages, specialization, job position, employer, and the geographic market in which the participant works. As participants gain professional experience and develop advanced skills in Python, SQL, Statistics, Power BI, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics, they can access more specialized roles and broader opportunities in both local and international markets.
