General information about what Botox is:
Botox contains botulinum toxin type A. In carefully controlled doses, it is injected into
selected muscles to relax them and soften the appearance of wrinkles. It may also be used for
certain therapeutic indications, such as excessive sweating.
Botox blocks selected nerve signals to the treated muscles, reducing contraction and smoothing
the skin above them. Because treatment targets specific muscles, sound knowledge of facial
anatomy is essential. Common aesthetic treatment areas include forehead lines, frown lines
between the eyebrows, crow's feet around the eyes, and selected lines on the face or neck.
How long does the botox effect last?
- One benefit of the treatment is that it is temporary.
- The effect lasts on average 3-6 months after the first treatment.
- To maintain an optimal result, you can repeat it 2-3 times a year.
- Although it has been seen that after the first treatment, the effect of BOTOX in subsequent treatments lasts even more.
- Don't be afraid that after the effect ends, your wrinkles will look worse, on the contrary, they will improve more.
- Their use can be carried out even in young people over 18 years old.
